Corona in the Netherlands

On 27 February 2020, the first patient was diagnosed with the novel corona virus in the Netherlands. Since then, more and more patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

You will find the exact and current numbers of cases on the corona dashboard that the Dutch government has developed. The dashboard also provides information on the number of vaccinations, how many people have been hospitalised, etc.

Current situation in the Netherlands

The Dutch government’s reaction to the current corona situation in the Netherlands, is essentially to control the virus as much as possible. This means a combination of measures, testing and vaccinations.

The people in the Netherlands are urged to follow the measures set by the government in order to keep the corona situation in the Netherlands under control.

Measures in the Netherlands

The most important and more or less permanent measures are frequent hand cleaning, 1,5 meters distance, sneezing/coughing in your elbow, avoid crowds. Stay at home if you feel a (starting) cold.
