Urza is our newest team member and we all love her! She comes to the office three times a week and has a very special function.
Who is Urza?
A crossbred from a black labrador retriever and a golden retriever. She is 2 years old and has recently joined our fabulous Settle Service team.
A labrador retriever has a sweet nature, making it an excellent therapy and assistance dog (see www.dogtime.com for more info) It is also known to be friendly to everyone and extremely sociable. They thrive on attention and affection. They are known to be quite intelligent and sensitive; they respond well to positive, non-coercive training methods.
Fits in with our team, doesn’t it?
However, there’s one dog job that retrievers are hopeless at: being a watchdog. We definitely recognize this, as Urza is happy to welcome all visitors.
Urza’s position
Being our office dog, Urza is the entertainment for colleagues who work in the office. She loves to play, we like to walk her in the park that is close by, and she embraces our hugs. In these somewhat ‘distant times’ for us human beings, this brings much warmth.
Urza doesn’t understand much of the business that we are in. Relocation? Immigration? Finding a home? Registration at the authorities? No, this is not her cup of tea. Luckily it is for us.
What’s in it for me?
How will you notice that Urza has come to enrich our professional lives? I think that an office dog in general, but Urza especially, has a calming effect on people. Whenever we experience pressure, Urza will be there, asking for attention with her loving eyes. With her calming effect, our team is able to face stressfull situations like never before!
