Dutch Administration resigns

After 1,5 year in office, the Dutch Administration resigned due to the failure of the negotiations about the necessary cutbacks for the Dutch economy. The Administration (VVD/CDA) had a minority in both Chambers of Parliament and lost the support of their political partner PVV. New elections are to be held later this year.

The Administration has resigned after a long period of negotiations about the necessary cost savings. Soon after the negotiations stopped, the political parties in the Administration and a number of opposition parties took the intiative to make the budget for 2013. By doing this, the Netherlands is compliant with the 3% rule of the European Union.
